Abstract

This study is a qualitative case analysis of three multicultural students in Korea diagnosed with Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It explores the meaning of students’ experiences and examines the impact of Korea’s cultural system and social factors on students. Through Yin (2014)’s data analysis, four themes were identified from the interview: (a) academic underperformance, (b) emotional Issues, (c) lack of social support, and (d) differences in perception of ADHD. After further analysis using the RESPECTFUL multicultural counseling model, intercultural counseling interventions were discussed.
