Abstract

Articles published in the Journal of Asia Pacific Counseling (JAPC) from 2011-2020 were analyzed for author characteristics (e.g., gender, work setting, country of lead author, leading contributors) and article content (e.g., topics, research methodology, sample size, research design, and statistics) to determine trends in characteristics over time. JAPC publishes a significant amount of research articles (64%), 11% of which are intervention studies. Though JAPC is an international journal published in South Korea, a majority of its contributors are from the United States and American universities, followed by South Korea.
